Fluentemente ("we", "us") is an app for learning a language by translating sentences. This policy explains what data we handle and how. We are the data controller for the data described below.

What we collect

Account: your name and email, and a hashed password or, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile it returns.
Practice data: your translations and answers, scores and attempt history.
Billing: Fluentemente is currently free. If we introduce paid subscriptions in the future, a payment processor will handle your card details and we would store only your subscription status and a customer reference, never your full card number. This policy will be updated before any such change.
A session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

AI grading and dictation

To grade your translations and generate feedback and explanations, the text you submit is sent to our AI provider to produce the response. If you use dictation, your audio recording is sent to a speech-to-text provider to be transcribed; the audio is not stored. These providers process the data only to return the result and under their own terms.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent your data.
We do not show ads or run behavioural tracking or analytics profiles.

Data retention and your rights

Your data is kept while your account exists. You can request access to or correction of your data at any time. You can delete your account and all its data yourself from Settings (see our account deletion page); deletion is immediate and permanent.
